When I was in college a bunch of my girlfriends and I took a yoga class. It is probably the one class I still put into practice today! Over the years, I have explored yoga, meditation, reiki, and mindfulness. All these “zen” practices have a common thread of seeking a peaceful mind and body. And don’t we all want that!?!

My basic presumption, when I see clients in my counseling practice is that they are stuck in their thinking, words, and actions. Meditation allows you to relax your mind and body and allow others options to materialize rather than continuing what you are doing that is not fulfilling.

Our world today is full of instant messages and answers. We are bombarded with so much information that we become overwhelmed. Remember the old saying “Stop and smell the roses.”? I question if we even see the roses! We rush from one thought to the next and one place to the next. But there is a solution…

Taking a few minutes each day to meditate can literally be life changing. It does not matter when or where you meditate. Of course a quite space, comfortable place, and distraction free is important! A few moments for yourself! You deserve it!

May you give yourself the gift of meditation as you go along your path today!
