A little over a week ago we moved our clocks forward an hour – we were able to “spring forward” with the time. This week we will enter into the season of Spring. And with the season of Spring, we can look forward to warmer weather, sunny skies, and flowers and buds beginning to spring up from the ground.
For me that is a reason to celebrate! Many people are impacted by the “winter blues” and suffer from Seasonal Affect Disorder or as it is known SAD! During Spring, they (and this includes me!) find themselves a little happier, smiling more and generally more optimistic! Burdens seem more manageable! The fresh air is refreshing after months of stale indoor air! The wisps of new grass and flowers blooming are not only beautiful to look at but find us taking deeper breaths!
So as we celebrate the rebirth of this new season, claim it as a time to offer yourself some new growth too. Take some walks outside. See the world around you in greater depth. Relax in the beauty around you.
While this might not make all your problems go away, it certainly can make them seem a little lighter! Embrace the newness around you!
May your path be full of flowers and sunshine and allowing yourself to “spring forward!”
