As a therapist, I typically see people when they feel “stuck” in their lives.  They are spiraling downward without a rope to pull themselves out.  Other times people are still, observing, stuck as well, but afraid to venture beyond what they know.  My goal is to help people search for a different path-one that will allow them to find a happier, healthier perspective.

The first step is to recognize what you are doing is not working for you.  The second is to be open to change.  The third is to take a step in a new direction.  Sounds easy.  It often is not.

One thing we can all do, and really should do:  Start your day right.  Nutritionists tell us the first meal of the day is important for you physically.  Your first thoughts of the day are important to you mentally.

If you start the day with thinking of how overwhelmed you are with all you have to do, you are will feel overwhelmed all day.  Not a productive way to start your day!  If you start your day with a smile, any positive affirmation, an understanding that you are enough, you are most likely to be more productive, creative, see the positives and find opportunities.  Call it what you will, mind over matter, but seeking and seeing the positive will always make the journey of the day more pleasant.

May you seek and see the positives along your path!
