CREATE THE POSSIBILITIES

I believe that we often limit ourselves by not seeing all the possibilities before us.  Sometimes we are afraid, sometimes we don’t know how, sometimes we just want to be safe.   When we ask a small child what they want to be when they grow up, they don’t examine all the roadblocks, they just blurt out what they want to do.  As adults we see the limitations.  And of course there are realistic limitations.  But often we don’t look for the possibilities and when we are not looking, we don’t see.

I have always been artistic.  As I begin a painting, drawing, or really any art project, I find myself getting nervous.  As I begin, I get nervous and full of doubt.  I wonder about making a mistake.  What if the project turns out bad?

Sometimes those same fears and worries stop us in our tracks and prevent us from moving forward.   When this happens, we need to take a big breath, and open our eyes.  The path ahead may be risky, but moving forward, imaging the possibilities, we can create our dreams.

When I feel fear or worry about a new project, it is a sign to either examine the realistic limitations and/or something big is about to happen.  And if you try and it doesn’t work out?  Tomorrow you can get a new canvas!

May your path find you stepping into the possibilities before you!
