Passion and Purpose
When I was young I loved to draw, color and paint. As I grew up I realized I had a talent for painting and enjoyed the time I spent before a canvass. I would get engrossed in the process. You could even say I was passionate about my painting. I was realistic enough to realize I wasn’t good enough to make a career out of this passion. I still paint for pleasure though.
It is important to have hobbies and activities that you do for no other reason than pure enjoyment. They are what can bring you joy; an avenue to take time and refresh your life; a sense of peace and contentment.
While many of the things you may be passionate about will not provide you a career or even an income, it is also important to find YOUR purpose and passion in your employment. Let’s face it, you spend a lot of time working! I’m not saying you will feel passionate about every aspect of work, but when you pursue a career involving something you are passionate about, you will be more at peace and content overall.
The bottom line is that how we spend our time, both at work and leisure, if we sense a purpose and passion, we will feel our lives are enriched.
May your path be filled with passion and purpose!
