The Journey of Success
Most of us have goals and dreams, even if we have not officially established them as such. Even more rare is finding someone who tracks their progress and celebrates their success. And that is a shame!
In a world where we find focus on criticism and fault, we either ignore the heartfelt news story (rare as it is) or give a standard “good job” to the success of others. Why is it that we focus on the negatives instead of the positives? I am going to challenge you to switch gears. Find the positive. Find the progress. Find the success! Not just in others, but especially in yourself!
Success for each person will be different. But let’s celebrate those small steps toward our goals and dreams. Maybe it’s that you got to work on time! Maybe it is a day eating healthy. Maybe it is working with a new client. And for those with mental health challenges, maybe it is as small as getting out of bed and getting dressed. It does not matter how small, and it should not be compared to others, but acknowledge your progress and success! Success doesn’t not have to mean a completed project, goal or dream. Success is the journey.
How different would our world be if we supported the successes in ourselves and others? Let us all take that first step…
May your path find you celebrating the successes of yourself and others!
