So often as humans our first reaction is to judge by appearance. But how often do we think of the back story behind the appearance?
For example, if you see someone who is homeless do you assume it is their own doing that put them there? In some cases, that is the true, in others, it is not. Circumstances may have led them to their plight and they just need a little assistance. Have your heard of a suicide and thought how selfish the person was to leave behind a family, or debt? From their perspective they may have been in so much mental anguish they saw no hope and thought they were actually being a burden to loved ones. Or have you seen someone wearing mismatched clothes and thought they must be poor when in reality they are color blind?
We just don’t know the story behind the face. And sometimes we just need to be patient enough to look past the appearance. Being open minded allows us to see from a whole new perspective. Who know what opportities will come if we are open to them!?!
