Reset Yourself
Each day, we rise and we rest. To function at our full capacity we need both. We need to be active part of the day and for around a third of each day you need to rest and sleep. Depending on your age, particularly the very young and the old, will need more sleep. The exact number varies for everyone but what does not vary is the necessity to rest at some point each day.
When we sleep, our body relaxes and rejuvenates. We feel peace. We can physically and mentally let go of the struggles of the day. Or at least that is the goal! I like to think of it as a reset. Then in the morning you have a fresh opportunity to go forth and meet your day. Sure some of the same struggles may be there to “greet” you but you will meet them with a clear head and recharged mind.
I know people who, like the energizer bunny, just don’t quit. I can only image how much more successful, efficient, creative, etc. they would be if they recognized their humanity and the need to rest. Eventually, it you do not pay attention to what your body needs in order to function, you will crash and burn.
Please recognize the need to RESET yourself by allowing your body and mind to rest to it’s full capacity in sleep. Maybe something won’t get done today. But tomorrow you will be more productive! Paying attention to the needs of your body and mind will help!
