People set resolutions, goals, intentions all the time.  More often then not we sabotage ourselves along the way.  For example, I’m trying to lose weight.  Notice I said trying.  I need to change the word from “trying” to “committed.”  Just one word can change the outcome.

But then something can get in the way, like a friend asking to go to lunch.  Well if I am committed to this goal, I can be flexible and eat healthy.  I do not have to throw away the goal.  It’s called being flexible.  The bottom line is staying committed to the ultimate goal.

Each day, as we begin with a fresh start, we need to set aside any struggles from the day before and recommit to the goal.  After all, it is a new opportunity!  And you can have several goals going on simultaneously.  I typically have personal goals and professional goals I’m working toward.

Your success is ultimately up to you.  Your goal may be challenged, your goal may change form, your goal may be extended.  But stay committed.  Stay true to you.

May your path find you daily committing to your goals and intentions and focusing on the opportunities rather than the challenges!
