This is the season of new beginnings…graduations, weddings, nature. Many graduation commencements speak of ‘going forth’ in to the next chapter of your life. Last weekend I was reminded of the importance of ‘going forth’ at the end of the church service, as in go forth and spread the word of God. After reflecting on ‘going forth’ and how that applies to life in general, I’d like to encourage you too, to go forth!
As a Professional Counselor, I often meet with people who are stuck in their circumstances. It might be caused by grief or depression or communication with a loved one. They come to me when they no longer know how to move past their struggle. We talk about what has them stuck so they can go forth in their lives.
And really don’t we all need to go forth each day? Each day offers a new beginning. Maybe not free of worry or stress or responsibilities yet still a new opportunity to do something different to make it a great day! If we train our mind to envision ourselves going forth into our day with a new outlook, positive attitude, and open to possibilities, we might just find ourselves smiling. We might see new possibilities.
Go forth along your path and see what presents itself!
