Along with Halloween, we see ghosts, goblins, witches, and other frightening visions. While this day of “fear” comes and goes, those suffering from anxiety and fear live every day with this condition. Some simply live a life of fear and remain “stuck” in their lives not really experiencing all the blessings that life offers. Whether this type of fear is from anxiety or they are in need of a boost to their self-esteem, the fear is real.
Sometimes we just need to take a “leap of faith” and move forward. Maybe that means looking for a new job, or breaking off a relationship, trying a new food, or even going skydiving! Sure, fear is present, but we recognize that the reward of stepping past our fear will be worth the temporary uncomfortable feeling. We won’t know unless we try…and regret can be as powerful as fear.
If you cannot get past anxiety and fear, seek professional help. Counseling can help you learn tools to work through anxiety. If counseling alone is not enough, there is also medication that can help. At the end of the day, make sure you are not allowing fear to keep you stuck in place! Take a step forward, either facing your fear, counseling and/or medication. While fear may seem like it is in control, you can take that control back and navigate the fear!
May you find all the tools you need to navigate your path in life!
