There are few people who have not experienced a storm in their lives. I’m not speaking of the wind, rain, hail, snow and other weathe related natural chaos creating episodes. I’m speaking of the internal storms that often seem to last a little longer and usually run a little deeper.
Whether it be from a failed relationship, loss of a loved one or even losss of a job/career. Whether it be from a physical or mental disability or loss of a life expectation. Sometimes it comes from self doubt or other challenging life experiences. We all have storms to weather.
How we cope and live through those storms will have an impact on how we live after the storm. I will always encourage people to share their story. It is from those who hold everything in and think they have to cope alone that I have great concern. We as humans are hard wired to be social. Sure some are more so than others but social nonetheless. When we hold our challenges in it is like saying we don’t need anyone else. We deprive those who are willing to help us of their opportunity.
While our “storms” may be different, we have the opportunity to allow the storm to batter and bruise but come out stronger. Take that path. Learn from the stormy challenges. Lean on others for support. Be the calm after the storm.
May you find your path through the storm to the other side a little stronger and wiser.
